### Onimator Setup: Hardware Requirements for Phone Automation

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=S4NiymjZX4U>" %}

**Tip #1:**

In case you want to avoid using cables, USB hubs, and having devices spread all over the place; then you can look into using PhoneBoxes instead so that everything is more centralized and organized. The supplier that our team personally uses is [CrownDevices](https://crowndevices.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

You can read more about dedicated PhoneBoxes here:

Cover image

PhoneBox Section

/files/tcmUH6cmEMNXHyMpsC0l

/pages/O5tN42KHTPnh3bLcT6fu

**Tip #2:**

In terms of purchasing a PC; if you are just starting out; you can realistically use almost any decent PC/laptop you already have in order to get started. However; once you begin scaling and plan to run around 20+ devices simultaneously; then hardware specifications start becoming much more important.

A general rule that our team follows is:

* For every 2 Devices running; you should roughly have:
 * 1 CPU Core
 * 2GB of RAM

That being said; the type of PC we personally recommend for users who plan to run anywhere between roughly 10–20 Devices simultaneously (with a maximum of around 20 devices spaced out properly during operation) would be a Mini-PC setup similar to this:

For now; you can simply go on [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) and purchase Mini-PC’s directly yourself. However; after speaking with the [CrownDevices](https://crowndevices.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) staff team; they mentioned that they are currently working on releasing their own dedicated Mini-PC line specifically optimized for Device Automation. The primary difference is that instead of shipping with the standard factory 8GB RAM configuration; they plan on upgrading the systems to 32GB RAM so that they are much better equipped for running setups with [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0) compared to how the Mini-PC’s normally come configured out of the box. Make sure to keep an eye on their website because from what I understand; they should be releasing their own optimized line very soon.

**Tip #3:**

You will notice on the [Onimator](https://onimator.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) website that they offer plans capable of handling up to 100 devices. However; from real-world experience; in order for your PC to realistically handle 100 devices properly; your computer actually needs the hardware specifications capable of supporting that workload. As mentioned earlier; a general rule that our team follows is that for every 2 devices running simultaneously; your PC should roughly allocate 1 CPU Core and 2GB of RAM.

So when you actually do the math; in order to properly run 100 devices at the same time; your PC would roughly need around 50 CPU Cores and 100GB of RAM. Now; that mainly applies if all 100 devices are actively running at the exact same moment. In a real-world agency setup however; devices are usually resting, rotating actions, or operating at different times throughout the day. Because of that; not all devices are constantly operating simultaneously.

That being said; even a PC with half of those specifications (around 25 Cores and 50GB RAM) is still considered a very high-end machine and can become extremely expensive once you begin purchasing premium-level hardware. Because of that; what many larger agencies actually do is work with specialized suppliers who custom-build PC’s specifically optimized for Automation Setups.

The reason this helps is because they can remove unnecessary components from the PC and instead focus the budget toward the things that actually matter for automation workloads, mainly CPU Cores and RAM. This creates a much better balance between performance and affordability. At a certain point; it simply becomes more cost-effective to purchase another optimized PC rather than continue endlessly upgrading the current one.

Typically; many agencies run around 60 devices (roughly 3 PhoneBoxes) per PC since this tends to be the sweet spot between performance, stability, and cost efficiency. That being said; [CrownDevices](https://crowndevices.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) is currently in the process of releasing their own optimized PC’s specifically designed for Automation Setups. Make sure to follow our Telegram Channel and we will keep you updated once those systems officially release.

### Prepare Your PC for Onimator: Essential Steps for Smooth Automation

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=2&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=qtzFABCYO20>" %}

This section is quite straightforward; however it is also very important. When you are in the process of installing [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0); it is important that you temporarily turn off your Anti-Virus and Windows Real-Time Threat Protection. Once the software is fully installed; you can absolutely turn them back on afterwards if you want to. However; ideally; when you are using a PC that is primarily dedicated toward Automation; it is generally better to keep these protections disabled since we have personally noticed that from time-to-time; the Anti-Virus mechanisms built into the Windows Operating System can interfere with how the software operates.

Now; this honestly does not happen very often (it is actually quite rare); however when you are running dedicated Automation PC’s; it is usually best to keep the environment as streamlined and interruption-free as possible so that background Windows security features do not randomly interfere with device connections, automation sessions, proxy applications, emulator/device communication, or the software itself.

Again; this is not something that constantly happens; however it is still worth mentioning since our team has occasionally experienced it ourselves.

### Phone Configuration for Onimator: Enable Developer Options & More

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=4&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=KjUqGymSXzk>" %}

In this case; you are going to need to enable “Developer Options” on the device you plan on using for Automation. Most agencies typically use Samsung S9 or Samsung S10 devices since those are generally considered the industry standard for Automation setups at the moment. In that case; you can watch the video below to see how to enable “Developer Options” on a Samsung device.

Just so you have a better idea of why this is required; Developer Options basically allows the Android device to properly communicate with the Automation software once the USB cable is connected to the computer. That is the primary reason why we need to enable it before continuing with the setup process.

### How to Turn ON or OFF Developer options on Samsung Phone (Android Tutorial)

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9WHcbsdkpM>" %}

That being said; in the case where you are using PhoneBoxes from [CrownDevices](https://crowndevices.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com); the devices already come with Developer Options enabled from the start; so there is no need to manually configure that yourself. One important thing I do want to mention however is that you should not disable/turn off Developer Options on devices that are already installed inside the PhoneBoxes.

The reason for this is because since [CrownDevices](https://crowndevices.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) removes the factory screens from the devices in order to optimize cooling and space; once Developer Options gets turned off; the devices will disconnect from the PC/software.

At that point; in order to reconnect the device again; you would need to:

* Open the PhoneBox
* Manually reconnect one of the factory screens included with your order
* Re-enable Developer Options manually again on the device

Because of that; once Developer Options is already enabled on a PhoneBox device; it is generally best to simply leave it on permanently and avoid disabling it to begin with.

### Clone Instagram App: Use NomixCloner for Automation

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=6&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=akZgAD-ElmY>" %}

One efficient way to use Nomix Cloner to install cloned apps across all your devices is by using [CrownScreens](https://crownscreens.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) and then directly pasting the download links across all devices through each device’s browser. This allows the cloned apps to install directly onto the devices without needing to use the “USB Transfer” method that is typically explained within many setup videos.

What many of our partner agencies do instead is:

* Create all the clones at once (depending on how many devices they have)
* Copy all the generated clone download links into a spreadsheet
* Then go device-by-device and paste each clone link directly into the Chrome browser running on that device

From there; the applications simply install directly through the browser itself. This method tends to be much more streamlined and efficient once you begin managing larger Automation setups.

Timers & Global Settings Optimize Onimator for Efficiency

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=7&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=ac2gFHoEDus>" %}

As for the timer settings; in the video they are allotting approximately 4 hours per account which means they are running around 6 accounts total on that device. That being said; you still absolutely have the option to run anywhere between 8–12 accounts per device if you want to. However; the tradeoff is that you are then limiting the amount of time each account can actively operate within a given time period.

I cover this much more extensively within the Account Warmup Guide and I highly advise that you carefully read through that section so that you fully understand the pros and cons regarding running a higher number of accounts per device. That being said; from our own experience; I personally suggest that most users stay somewhere around 4–6 accounts per device and set a follow limit of roughly 5 follows per hour.

The reason for this is because it gives the accounts enough time to naturally perform actions while simultaneously mixing in many different forms of engagement instead of simply trying to force 20 follows within a short period of time. In general; it is usually much better to mix up actions and utilize multiple forms of engagement while still respecting Instagram’s action limits in order to:

* Avoid detection
* Reduce action blocks
* Keep accounts safer long-term
* Make activity appear more natural

For example; many users will mix in:

* Comments
* Story Views
* Story Likes
* Regular Post Likes
* Profile Views
* Follows

all within that 4–6 hour operational period so that the account appears more natural overall. This allows you to maximize the variety of actions being performed within the allotted timeframe without necessarily needing to overload the device by running 8–12 accounts unless your own method of acquiring traffic/users specifically requires operating at that scale.

### Instagram Phones Automation: Follow Tool Explained

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=8&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=lGJcs7sUH7Y>" %}

As for this section; it is extremely important that you carefully read through the “Warmup Guide” before you begin adjusting or experimenting with the follow settings inside [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0). The reason for this is because anytime you add a brand new account into Onimator; you need to understand that the account is not yet “warmed up”, especially since we just logged the profile into the automation software.

Even though the default settings inside Onimator may show something around 50–100 follows per day; that is generally not the safest setting to begin with; especially for newer accounts since there is a much higher chance of the profiles becoming flagged, action blocked, or restricted.

From our own experience; I personally suggest starting with roughly 5 follows per day and then gradually increasing the limit by around 1 additional follow per day until you eventually reach somewhere around 40–50 follows per day.

The reason this tends to work better is because the account slowly builds trust over time. This helps the platform gradually recognize the profile as a more legitimate/normal user rather than immediately triggering the anti-spam mechanisms that platforms like [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) have in place for accounts they suspect may be automated or bot-related.

### Instagram Phones Automation: UnFollow Tool Explained

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=9&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=Hxu3YCYW7W8>" %}

As for the Unfollow section; the same general principle applies as mentioned previously regarding Following. You want to make sure that you set the maximum number of unfollows per hour to roughly 5 per hour; and keep the maximum daily unfollow limit somewhere around 40–50 per day.

It is extremely important that you set proper hourly limits for all actions you plan on using and generally keep them somewhere around a maximum of 5 actions per hour. This helps significantly reduce the chances of accounts receiving action blocks while simultaneously allowing the other accounts running on the same device to continue operating smoothly; keeping overall growth more stable and consistent across all profiles. You can adjust these hourly limits inside the General Settings section within [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0).

Even though the default setting may be set somewhere around 25 actions per hour; I personally suggest lowering this to somewhere around 5–7 actions per hour as the “Hard Limit”; especially for more sensitive actions such as:

* Follow
* Unfollow

These are typically the actions that platforms like [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) monitor most aggressively when trying to detect automation/spam behavior.

### Instagram Phones Automation: Like Tool Explained

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=10&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=GP2Hb80wAbw>" %}

For Likes; you can generally have the hourly and daily limits set slightly higher compared to actions such as Follow and Unfollow. From our own experience; somewhere around 50–100 Likes per day and roughly 15–25 Likes per hour is generally considered to be a fairly safe starting range.

The reason Likes can usually be pushed slightly higher is because platforms like [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) typically view Likes as a less aggressive form of engagement compared to actions such as Following and Unfollowing. That being said; I still highly suggest that you personally test different settings yourself using a smaller setup first, ideally somewhere around 2–3 devices housing roughly 20–28 accounts total. This allows you to properly gauge what limits work best for your setup, how aggressive you can safely be, what your accounts can realistically handle, and how the profiles respond over time.

The reason this is important is because every setup can behave slightly differently depending on factors such as account age, proxy quality, device quality, account warmup, region, activity history, and overall account trust score. Because of that; it is always best to slowly test and scale rather than immediately trying to maximize actions too aggressively from the beginning.

### Additional Tools

The next two videos go over the Story View Tool and the Direct Message feature. I advise that you watch both videos carefully so that you understand how each feature works and what the proper procedure looks like. That being said; our agency personally does not use those two options very often because we have noticed that they use a higher amount of cellular data. This is mainly because the tool is constantly loading new stories and performing actions on them.

Since the area we live in has fairly expensive cellular data, and since our devices are running through 4G proxies, it does not always make sense for us to spend more data on story views when we could perform a Like action instead. That being said; some agencies have access to much larger amounts of cellular data at lower rates, so for them it may make complete sense to use story views and story likes as part of their strategy. The point I am trying to make is that story views and story likes can still be extremely useful, but you need to look at the cost per action and decide what makes the most sense for your own setup.

### Instagram Phones Automation: Story Viewer Tool Explained

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=11&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=5tcFPMrznqg>" %}

As for the DM Tool (Direct Messages); you can explore that feature more thoroughly yourself since there are many different ways you can utilize automated DM’s depending on what your overall marketing strategy is. One very interesting feature within [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0) is that it allows you to integrate a [OpenAI API Key](https://platform.openai.com/api-keys?utm_source=chatgpt.com) which basically allows the software to generate AI-powered responses/messages automatically.

What this means is that your Instagram profiles can begin conversations with new followers and users without there necessarily needing to be a real person constantly sitting behind the keyboard replying manually. Many agencies within the OnlyFans/Model Marketing space utilize this feature in order to automatically engage with new followers and direct traffic toward the model’s pages and funnels.

That being said; this is one of those tools where you will absolutely need to spend time experimenting with the settings in order to make the conversations/actions behave the exact way you personally want them to. From our experience; I highly suggest first testing this feature on a smaller setup before trying to scale it aggressively.

For example; connect roughly 2–3 devices and load around 20–30 accounts first so that you can properly observe:

* How the tool behaves
* How the accounts respond
* How the messaging flow operates
* And what adjustments/settings need to be changed as you continue testing

This tends to be the safest and most practical way to learn how to properly utilize the feature before scaling it to a much larger setup.

### Instagram Phones Automation: Direct Messages Tool Explained

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?index=12&list=PLk0zqQdA1lSE8seTcCqxtD12QZYMTT1Ne&v=MfMk60w_uQk>" %}

### Additional Message:

Overall; [Onimator](https://portal.onimator.com/r/0ZQZN0) has many different features and tools available. Since a lot of these videos were recorded over a year ago; the platform has since revamped a large portion of the interface and added even more features designed to help grow Instagram accounts. Because of that; I strongly advise that you spend time personally going through the settings and experimenting with different features to see what works best for the type of promotion/marketing strategy you plan on running.

For example; some agencies mainly focus on performing “Like” actions because they are able to perform a much higher number of Likes per day compared to the stricter Follow limits that [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) has in place. Other agencies prefer focusing more heavily on Story Views and Story Likes because they may live in regions where cellular data and 4G proxy rates are significantly cheaper compared to ours.

At the end of the day; the method you choose to promote your pages ultimately depends on:

* Your budget
* Your proxy costs
* Your automation setup
* Your region
* Your growth strategy
* And what type of engagement you personally prefer using

Because of that; testing is extremely important. You will ultimately need to experiment and observe which features/actions make the most sense for your own setup and long-term strategy.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://toyboxmarketing.gitbook.io/guides/onimator-tutorial-section.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
